The Centre des Premières Nations Nikanite and its partners are setting up School Perseverance for First Peoples Scholarship Funds 2017-2018 to highlight perseverance of First Nations students.
The scholarships are intended for 4th and 5th grade secondary students. A scholarship of $600 will be awarded to deserving students from each of the 11 First Nations to encourage their progress and their daily efforts throughout their school careers. The deadline to send applications is May 11, 2018. The finalists will appear in the third edition of the Journal of Perseverance and Academic Success for First Peoples, which will be published next December.
